As you may already know, Pixelgasm is a flourishing community of artists inspired by nerd culture, but more specifically, video games. What you may not know is that many of the artists on the Pixelgasm Forum show their art all around the country, and not just at video game and comic conventions. Fine art shows, galleries, coffee shops, fine dining - you name it, we’ve got it covered!
But don’t wait to run into one of our artists at one of their shows! The beauty of being an Internet community (as well as one in the flesh), is that it is so easy to contact us, commission a piece, buy it, and have it shipped to you. We may joke around a lot on the forum (hence the NC-17 thread where we verbally bash eachother silly, all in good fun), but when it comes to our art, we are very serious. Many of the mediums we work in may be unconventional in the art world (primary example being children’s fuse beads for our bead sprites), but the creativity is definitely there.
If you are interested in commissioning a piece from one of us, do not hesitate to contact any one of us on the forum. It’s easy to sign up, and then you can send a Private Message to one of us with an idea for a piece. It may be a lot less expensive than you think, and well more affordable than those lame watercolors they sell at most shows! No offense to any of them, of course, there are a lot of terrific water color artists out there!
