What’s better than video game art? Video game art you can eat, of course. The people over at steelheadstudios made 100 game related cupcakes for their house’s 100th birthday. Can you guess all of them?

Anyone who has ever tried to trade in some or even all of their video game collection in the hopes of getting some new or better games knows that GameStop just sucks. In many cases you could give up ten or more of your beloved games and still not have enough store credit for that shiny new game you’ve had your eye on for the last month. Fortunately GameStop is no longer the only option for now there is Goozex.
I first heard about Goozex about a year ago but didn’t really pay it any attention due to past bad trades but, about a month ago I decided I wanted to rebuild my XBOX 360 collection and play some games I missed out on in the last year, so I joined and here’s how it went down.
I Traded
Contact – DS 200pts
Phoenix Wright - DS 200pts
Final Fantasy III – DS 200pts
Resident Evil – DS 200pts
Street Fighter – XBOX 200pts
Phantasmagoria – PC 350pts
For a total of 1350pts which I traded for
Street Fighter IV – 360, 400pts
Burnout Paradise – 360, 250pts
If you’re wondering about the points that is the system Goozex uses for trade values if you don’t trade any games you can buy points for $5 per hundred and you get a discount if buy a lot. If you decide to trade in your games you must first sign up for a free Goozex account www.goozex.com search for the games you wish to trade and add them to your offers queue the system then searches for someone who wants your games once matched you mail your games to the buyer and receive your points. These trades are backed by a guarantee so that in the event of a bad trade you are not defenseless. Now that you have you points it’s time to find some games for yourself. This is where Goozex makes their money when you find a game you want to spend your points on you have to use what Goozex calls a “Token” to make the trade. This is essentially the fee they charge for hooking you up with a seller you get your first token free but after that you can purchase more for $1 each however they only sell a minimum of 5 tokens at a time. I find the $1 transaction fee to be more than fair when compared to what GameStop would have given me.
GameStop Trade in Values
Contact = $1.00
Phoenix Wright = $3.25
Final Fantasy III =$2.75
Resident Evil = ($1.50) I forgot to check this one but I don’t think they would give much for it
Street Fighter = NA GameStop no longer takes original Xbox games
Phantasmagoria = NA they also won’t take old PC games
Total $7.00
GameStop Used Game Values
Street Fighter IV = $26.99
Burnout Paradise = $17.99
Mass Effect = $14.99
Left 4 Dead = $26.99
Total $86.96
+ 9% sales tax = $94.79
-$7.00 for trades = $87.79
Considering that I probably spent about $13.00 on shipping my six games separately and the three tokens I used I saved about $71.79 by using Goozex over GameStop so check it out and happy trading
Jean put together this amazing video for his brothers Band Niwouinwouin. There are laserbeams from the eyes, skycraper climbing, a huge flood and more - Catastrophe.
I was up all night last night and on the computer for the majority of today, but I finally got the Pixelgasm blog to resemble something decent, and many of the members over at the Pixelgasm Forum have been raving about posting and making something of the formally unharnessed potential of a blog authored by members of the forum.
Within the next few weeks, we should have some regular contributors writing about everything from the expected arts and crafts, to fun finds around the net, to opinions on current video games and related news. Basically, we want this blog to cover everything nerd related, but focus on creativity within nerd culture.
Here’s to another huge step for the once modest (but not so modest) “Beadsprites Forum tea party”!
p.s. I’m sorry…that last comment was so effing lame…I’ll go hang my head in shame now.
Hello, loves, PaperRockScisorz here!
First let me apologize for my lack of posts to the blog thus far. It was certainly a busy holiday season, but it is high time for us to buckle down and get this blog rollin’.
If it’s okay with all of y’all, I think I’ll try out this thing that I like to call ‘PRS’s Pixelgasm of the Week’. (Yea, I know you like that one!) Weekly Pixelgasms will be posted on Mondays. The inspiration will usually be something new posted during the week, but I may occasionally post about one of my old flings. However, I will ALWAYS post about something from the Pixelgasm forums. So if you think you’re worthy, you better sign up and get to posting.
Now, who will it be that pops the PPGotW cherry? Well who else could it be but my dear friend (and Doctor Octoroc’s nemesis), Xstatic? She has an art show coming up and made, get this, a freaking landscape piece out of Perler beads.

Really, X? You blow my mind with everything you do! I don’t know how she does it, but you should definitely go right now and look at the rest of her gallery because she’s done some crazy pieces that could brighten even the cloudiest of days (or perhaps just make you insanely jealous of her talent!) Congrats, X, for being my first. ;P
While you’re around the forums, make sure to welcome back my HighlyFlammableMan who is known for his ridiculous undertaking of beading entire screenshots. (I’m glad you’re alive and well, sir.) Yes, it’s been said, but we’re SO glad to have you back… and that’s definitely PPGotW post-worthy material.
Thanks for taking the time to read through this massive post. The others should be shorter since I won’t have to explain what’s goin’ down.
Peace & Love,
XoX <3

First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season this year and in making and posting this picture on PixelGasm I found out somethings about our little community. First of all, it seems as if Anime girls with a tad bit larger chesticles are appreciated, but don’t carry over to the real life counterparts that we are looking for. It’s just so weird how we can talk about them like they are so great, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s totally not what we are looking for in a woman.
In watching Anime, I am always intrigued in the fact that no matter what the reason, there is always an extremely over endowed woman that is the blunt of all of the “dick and fart” jokes. Granted this is a great way to add humor to these shows, I feel that sometimes it is added for only that reason and the character ends up having no real purpose in the story at all except for this. Now this has nothing to do with Nico Robin (One Piece) pictured above, but to mostly the harem type Animes that flourish with the female viewers….Strange isn’t it…
